Tokyo International University

Saw this great bit of urban archeology as I was looking for an Internet Cafe in the burbs of Tokyo.?@It was founded by an American, Brofman, who later donated his library. In it, there are just 4 books on psychology out of several thousand which are mostly on economics and none on language.

This makes me rather hopeful though that further colonizing efforts by Americans might be different if they consider some basics from even just first year psychology class such as the effects of post traumatic stress disorder.

Recent Poll
Only 23% of Americans believe that things are going satisfactorily in Iraq which is down from 61% in April. And Bush's approval?@continue to drop as well. It looks like it will be a repeat of 1991 when his daddy lost the election.

Now From Tokyo

Hey babies, well, from Canada to Japan and yet the dead keep on piling up in Iraq. How horrible! And out here we get "news" straight from the Pentagon on American Forces Radio (ha ha ha!). On the Fourth of July they were playing patriotic songs, one of which was Springsteen's "Born in the USA" which contains the lyric "sent to kill the yellow man." Now, why do people want to blow up Americans again? Because they can be so in your face and ugly!! I know Springsteen was not encouraging the killing of Asians but what the hell? When will Americans stop trying to be hated.
